L:O is a band that consists only of two people: Lutz and Oliver. Thus the name L:O. Both were fed up with the contraints that a normal band posed on the creative process, as it had meant a lot of compromise and being restricted to the instruments of the respective band-members in the past. With the freedom of writing songs in the digital domain with an overabundance of virtual instruments to kickstart the creativity in both, they were able to write songs that still fit into the context of a rockband, but are much more than they could have achieved in the corset of an actual band.
The result are songs that meander between atmospheric soundscapes, unusual orchestrations and stoner rock, but never quite fitting any genre or compositional standards.
Writing these songs has been a journey of creative discovery and we hope that the songs will be able to take you on a journey of discovery as well.
